Andrew S. Conklin, a native of Chicago, Illinois, is a visual artist, painter and draftsman. He received a BFA from the American Academy of Art, a certificate from the National Academy of Design School in NYC, and an MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.
Conklin's figurative paintings have been exhibited throughout the USA and have won him a number of major awards. He has exhibited work at the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters, The Terra Museum of American Art, Fairfield University.
He has taught at the New York Academy of Art and Parsons School of Design in New York, and the School of the Art Institute and Harrington College of Design in Chicago. The artist has authored articles on painting and drawing in national publications, including American Artist and The Artist’s Magazine, as well as New American Paintings, No. 29 and 83.
Conklin is represented by Gallery Victor in Chicago, and Signet Contemporary Art in London, UK.
