I have been interested in craft beer for the past 13 years and in that time have spent most of my focus on the retail and consumer side of things in the industry. I started buying for the bottleshop of Beer Temple over 6 years ago. We generally have somewhere in the range of 1400 or more skus of beer at any given time and my job is to make sure that there is reason and intent on all the product in the store. The job requires constant exploration while also pivoting in terms of customer expectations, buying habits, brewery offerings, and always steering with a little bit of personal preference.
